Campaign Story
Hello. It’s Jazmine and Damien Outlaw! Some of you may know, but Jazmine was diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis 3 years ago after undergoing a series of procedures. PCOS comes with various symptoms and endometriosis is extremely painful as scar tissue grows where it doesn’t need to, causing infertility. This has caused many issues trying to conceive over the past 8 years. We were connected with a fertility specialist who has recommended us for IVF, which is a series of procedures to dilate Jazmine’s eggs, retrieve and fertilize them, transfer the embryo(s) back and monitor her closely throughout the pregnancy. This is exciting for us because we dream of having kids without surrogacy or adoption and we have a higher chance of having our first positive pregnancy test and a healthy, live birth. We have checked for coverage through the military and have a lot of coverage through Jazmine’s employer, but even with 3 types of  insurance, it does not cover 100%. Almost all of our testing has been completed and the medications we need have been determined. However, we have an out of pocket cost of about $4000 we need to meet in order to proceed with delivering the stimulation medicine and starting the full IVF process. We are praying everything is successful the first round, but we also want to prepare if we may have to repeat treatments such as egg retrievals, egg freezing, and embryo transfers. We have made a lot of sacrifices such as postponing and even cancelling our wedding reception, which was heartbreaking to walk away from after 2 years of planning. We have also been dieting, budgeting and postponing relocation to save stress and money for this process. We are seeking donations to help with uncovered expenses and travel as our facility is in Jacksonville, Florida. Once we start the process in a couple of weeks, we will have multiple back to back appointments to determine when we’re able to start medication and transferring our embryos, which can be very costly to travel so frequently. We are planned on staying in Jacksonville for about 2 weeks until all procedures and testing are completed after our transfer. We are grateful for anyone who wishes to provide financial contributions to make this journey to baby Outlaw a little easier. Whether you are able to give or not, please share this, continue to keep us in your prayers that we can start our family and may God bless you as well.
